The RMV and the Junior Operator Law

Junior operators are between the ages of 1612 and 18. You are subject to all driver's license suspensions as a junior operator. Penalties are imposed on certain violations of the Junior Operator Law.

The Junior Operator Law is to reduce teen driver deaths. If you reach the age of 18 before the period ends, you must serve any imposed suspension. Penalties for violating certain laws and license restrictions are increased for a junior operator's permit.
