An artist that works with different types of materials is called an encouarr. The image is based on a client's specifications or the artist's own designs. A modern engraver can use a laser to achieve their final results, or they can use hand tools and a magnifying glass.

After the laser does the engraving, it will come back and burn a thin line around the edge. Get the rough dimensions of the target area. Make sure you have enough room for what you want to cut out.
