The NDIS and Partners in the Community

It is important to remember that the case management provided by the LACs is not what the NDIS plan is about. Don't worry, you can find a partner that will deliver LAC services near you. More Partners will deliver ECEI and LAC services in communities across Australia, except for areas where the agency is working with local communities directly.

You can find more about the LACs on the website. A support couner will support a participant to coordinate services from a range of suppliers or providers, address service delivery issues and develop the capacity and resilience of their support network. The NDIA may fund additional supports for people who don't have an NDIS partner delivering LAC services.

Most participants will work directly with the LACs to connect to supports and review their plan if the Partners deliver LAC services in place. Some parts of Australia will not have Partners. If you live in a remote area, you will likely have a support person in your plan.

Project Coordination in a Multi-Agent System

Program co-workers need a degree in business administration or a related field to be hired. Some employers will accept candidates with a high school degree or associate degree. Program co-ordinators are given on-the-job training to make sure they are familiar with the facility in which they work.
